52 or 54 throttle body!!

trying to decide on thrttle to buy holly 52 or arizona speed marina 54mm give me your input thanks.

didnt know they made a 54mm...maybe your talking about a 58?

Not enough info. Are you talking about a stock (unmodded) motor? IF so, the will be no significant gains from either one. I'm still running the stock TB because a 52mm made no difference.

yes AS&M makes a 54mm throttle body...but the stock 48mm TB is good for up to 400 rwhp...I'd say just step up to the 52mm throttle body unless you plan on going with a blower in the near future...

message NOMAD on this board...he and his wife offer 52mm ported TB's for $150 + your stock TB in exchange...

The ASM's are extremely high quality. They make both a 54 and a 58 mm throttle body. If you've got the cash, you can't go wrong with the ASM unit.

The LT1 intake will require porting at the intake holes to match with the TB if it's bigger than a 52mm. I don't think you will see a gain on even a Cammed motor going from a 52 to a 54mm, so I'd save your money and get a thunderracing ported 52 mm throttle body. That's what I have. Or get what FacelessZ said.
