52mm tb idle?

Im installing my 52mm tb, and in order to keep the blades from hitting the ports, I have to set the idle screw pretty high. I am going to get a tune, but will having my dle screw set high, effect my performance, shiftpoints, gas mileage, anything for that matter? Thanks

What ports would the blades hit? they are supposed to sit flush with the openings in the tb that's normal. The ports on the intake manifold should be far enough and should match with the 52 mm tb.

You need to check several things, to be sure they are within spec, and it takes a scanner. If they are not within spec, you could have problems in a numer of areas.

Back off on the idle stop screw until the engine is idling at the factory specification. (550rpm in gear, 650rpm in neutral for an A4)

Check the IAC counts to make sure they are in the range of 20-40 counts. Minor adjustment of the throttle stop screw may be necessary.

Check the TPS voltage to make sure it is within the range of 0.20-0.90V, with something closer to 0.67V being preferred by some.
