'71 Nova LT1 Dyno Tune results

For you guys that saw my previous thread about completing my head and cam swap, I just got back from the dyno tune.

As a recap, I swapped out my stock iron heads for a set of LE2 GM aluminum heads and went in with LE's 218/224 cam. Previous dyno was 247hp/266tq, dyno tune today produced 339hp/326tq. I am extremely pleased especially running shorty headers, 8.5" rear, steel driveshaft and factory converter.

Tuning was done by Alan Futral of Futral Motorsports

I will post the curves tomorrow.

Very nice! May i ask where your located at? I'm about 10min from Futral, and i was thinking you were from up north for some reason.

That pretty darn good! Almost a 100hp increase. That's quite a lot of hp man. I wish I had that much! Thanks for posting those results! Yeah, hell let's see those curves....

Nice numbers for such a small cam, I am going to bring my 383Lt1 to alan for some fine tuning since I swapped to a singleplane intake on my car. Why do you still have sthe stock converter in there? Who did the wiring harness?

It was borderline as to whether I would be able to run the stock converter until I was able to drive the car. I'm ordering a Yank Stealth 3000 stall converter next week.

The previous owner had done the wiring harness.

I'm pleased with the power, it's all that I wanted for this car.

It sounds like you have a fun ride....Any reason for the shorty headers? Clearance issues?

It had long tubes at one time, but they hung way too low and looked horrible. I may eventually have some built or try a different brand that may fit better. I've got some other plans for the car on my list long before I worry about different headers.
