93 Intake and rails on 95 Engine

OK, so I know the 93 intake will not flow better than a 95 intake or if it does the difference is negligible. I would like to run the 93 intake and fuel lines because I like the looks of it better. Does anyone know if this will cause any problems running it on my 95?

The only issue would be the fuel line connections. They're about mid way front-to back on the 93 fuel rail and at the back on the 94+ rails.

You'll have to transfer your TB and injectors...both were different on 93's

Are the fuel pressure regulators the same?

I believe they are. They regulate to the same pressure....

I remember reading somewhere that the 93 fuel rails are engineered for batch-fire injection, while the 94+ rails are engineered to support sequential fire. Whether or not you'll have a pressure variance between firings I'm not too sure. Fact is they are not the same.

I'd stick with the 94+ rails if possible.

Found this in Wikipedia.

The 92–93 LT1s used speed density fuel management, batch-fire fuel injection and a dedicated engine control module (ECM). In 94 the LT1 switched to a mass airflow sensor and sequential port injection

Yeah I know, that's what I'm talking about. With batch fire injection, each bank fires independently of eachother, four injectors at a time. I'm not an engineer, but I would imagine the pressure differential between the two banks is engineered into the fuel rail to support it. With sequential you don't have as much, if any, differential because each injector fires individually.

Like I said whether or not this could be a problem I'm not sure, but if it were my motor I'd just keep the 94+ rails.

I think you're right and will stay with what I have and sell the 93 stuff, thanks.

Just look at the way the two rails are connected in the 93's, compared to the front cross-over pipe in the 94+ rails. They had to have a reason for those differences, and the batch-fire vs. full sequential might be the reason.

There also appears to be a pulsation damper on the 93 hard lines.

Yeah I noticed that when I was comparing the two as well. That is why I asked. thanks

If you know someone who can tig aluminum you can run the crossover up and over the 93 intake. The 93 rails are not very good for performance because the return line runs through them
