Re: 93 Z28 all stock

Under what conditions does it backfire - cold engine, hot engine, wet weather, part load, wide open throttle?

Have you scanned it for codes?

Put your car info in a "signature" - year, model, engine, trans, and the fact it is titally stock - rather than having to type it every time in the sub-topic field? That way we would know which tranny you have, for example, which might affect the answer.

At the top of the page is a small button marked User CP. Click on that and select Edit Signature. Then you can enter everything you know about your car...modifications, etc.

This will then show up every time you post. It'll help other figure out what your issues are based on your mods....

Andrew, check the firing order and make sure all your other ignition connections and components are good. If that stuff is all good, you could have a cracked cap on your opti, or your opti could be on its way out. Are you having any hesitation or lack of power throughout driving range?

Re: 93 Z28 all stock

Let's try this one more time.

Have you scanned it for codes?

Very easy on a 93, since you can flash the codes on the SES light by shorting the ALDL pins.
