93 z28 overheating problems

i have a 93 camaro z28 that i cant figure out why it is overheating... i bought a brand new water pump, radiator, about 10 thermostats, i even bleed the system. a friend of mine said to bleed the engine block its self. so i didnt that an the temp didnt go up to 260 but sat at 250 right before the red overheating line. it work for 1 day like that an now is overheating again.. any opinions are welcome...... thanks Brian

check the oil see if its milky, take the thermostat out and see if it heats up, run the heater see if it blows hot air as the temp rises, if the oil is milky or the heater doesnt get hot its prolly a blown head gasket

-is the air dam still in place?
-did you bleed the system properly using the 2 bleed screws?
-are your fans turning on? (you can test this by turning on ac and they should turn on)
-there have been a couple post recently where the coolant hoses were improperly connected
-how long does it take to overheat?
-under what conditions(sitting still, city drive, highway drive etc) does it overheat?

there is no milky stuff at all no sign of it being a head gasket even tho thats my guess...the heater does not blow hot.... the air dam is still in place.. i have bleed the system properly an there is 3 bleeder screws... the fans do kick on cuz they are manuel switch.... it takes about not even 5 mins to over heat sitting at idle less the a min when driveing an thats when it is completely cool... an i am very sure all the hoses are connected right.

Did you use the correct thermostat? How did you bleed the cooling system (in detail, not just "opened the bleeders")? Obviously you're a bit confused on this part because there are only two bleeders. Did you forget to reinstall the water pump drive shaft? What mix of coolant did you use?
