'94 LT1 starts then dies

Engine has 110k on it. Brand new alternator, starter, battery, Opti and Waterpump recently replaced, have about 1.5k miles on them.

Every now and then, only after the car has been sitting for a couple days and/or it is excessively cold, the car will fire up and immediately die. Trying a second time always works, however. Otherwise the car runs perfectly fine, and idles smooth.

Only recent codes I've had is an EGR code. What else could be causing this symptom?

I would suspect an electrical problem. Worst case scenario the pcm has a problem like a short or bad connection. If you can or have access when you suspect it might do that then hook up a scanner so you can see what happens or if it throws any codes right off that go away. If not try driving straight somewhere and get it scanned the code might go away after a couple of starts when it doesnt see the problem again. Some codes go away after a couple of good cycles. Im not saying thats your problem but just that thats where I would start. could be a bad opti not all new parts are good. i had a bad opti that would randomly start and die or randomly die while driving. Other than that I wouldnt have much of an idea. Dont forget when i say electrical i mean check all your sensors how well theyre plugged, in if you have any chaffing, or dirty. All that stuff can cause problems.

Might be time to start planning for a fuel pump change.

Fuel Pump is my #1 suspect at this point. Thank you both.

Try priming the pump a few times by turning the key on engine off for a few seconds then off. Do this 5 or 6 times before the first attempt to crank the engine and see if it remains running then. You will know it's the check ball in the fuel pump then.
