we all know about the rearends in our f-bodies 96capricemgr, thanks for reminding me though....

I wish I had a couple grand to throw at a moser or even better a Dana...but the wife would probably push me into the wood-chipper...

Little more torque at a little lower rpm.

As guessed the b-body does not use a torque arm, just splayed 4 link and is full frame.

Fitting an 8.5" from a b-body into an f-body would come under tyhe "anything is possible, but not necessarily a good idea" catagory. If someone figured out a way to make say the slightly narrow 9C1(cop car) disc rear fit an f-body easily I bet they could make a ton on money.

The 9C1 got a slightly narrower axle as did the Roadmaster sedans, the Roady for skirt clearance, the 9C1 so snow chains would clear, the Impalas, other Caprices got a little wider and the wagons were wider yet.
They did actually use the 7.5" in some non-LT1 and non-9C1 Caprices, my car came with a 7.5 since it was a civilian L99 car at one point long long ago.
