95 lt1 won't run right
i just bought a 1995 z and the car has a new motor in it. It has the 6- speed manual and is completely stock. the car runs okay but it cuts out whenever it feels like it and it will just shut off at times. after letting it sit for a while it will fire back up but you never know how long before it does it again. i thought it was the distributor so i put a factory gm ac delco on it and it does the same thing. i would like some suggestions of what it could be. It really cuts out the harder you try to run it also. i also replaced the plug wires.

Sounds a lot like a bad Ignition Control Module when it heats up it's failing, but it could really be a number of things. You can pull the ICM off and take it into any Autozone to have them test it real quick..
If that's not it then I'd start looking at your coil, plug wires, plugs, and maybe even the ignition switch in the column (but I doubt it).
When you say it really cuts out the harder you run it, do you mean it misses or the harder you drive it the quicker it'll shut off?
Any SES light/codes?
