The code sets when the PCM does not see any activity from the MAF sensor, when it knows the engine is running.
Check the wiring harness for damaged wires or pins. Then.....
1 - With key on, engine off, harness connector off the MAF sensor, check for 12V between the pink (12V) and black/white (ground) wires in the connector.
2 - Same conditions, check between the yellow wire (signal) and the black/white wire for a reading of 4 - 6V.
3 - If your multi-meter has a frequency range, reconnect, start the engine, and check for a Hz signal between the yellow signal wire and the black/white ground wire. You will see about 2,000 - 2,500Hz at idle.

Not a problem on my end small block as long moderators are cool. I agree as I would love to see what you come up with just in case my "fix" didn't fix it. Please keep updates going. My washers with spacing the ICM has so far worked. Have you tried that? I have ran about 80 some miles with no disasters yet so might be worth looking into that or the coil.

well so far so good with the mass air flow sensor seems to idle a lot healthier and drive smooth. just installed 3.73 gear yesterday too, got some noise though oh well, just have to pull it back out.
