96 subframe with motor and Tranny into a 99 camaro , will it work ??
I have a 99 Z-28 that a friend of mine took the motor , subframe and tranny out and gave me the shell . I have a totaled 96 z-28 and could take the motor , subframe and tranny out . Can a 96 subframe , motor and tranny fit on the 99 ???? Also I was going to switch over the computer wiring harness etc.
Thanks for any answers you can give me

Yes, it will fit. You'll need to snag the steering shaft from the 96 as well. You'll also need to have the VATS turned off for the 99 key to start the car or change the ignition cylinder.

You have to use the 96 PCM and harness with the 96 LT1 engine, or convert the 96 LT1 to an LS1 style ignition system, as manufactured by EFIConnection (24X conversion). With the conversion, you use the 99 PCM and a custom wiring harness.
If you stick with the 96 wiring harness, there are going to be some mismatches where the engine harness connects to the body harness.
The 99 chassis has a dead-ended, 58psi fuel system. You will either have to convert the 99 fuel system to a recirculated system, operating at 43.5psi via the LT1 fuel pressure regulator, or set the 96 rails up to operate dead-end, rather than recirculated, and have the tune adjusted for the 99's high fuel pressure.
