Re: 96 Z28 vs. 99 Mustang GT

i have a friend who has a 99gt and cant get him to race my silverado or my girls saturn with some mods. i asked him if he was ready to run the z and he said noway, not yet. next thing i know he is trying to buy a nos kit from a guy on a local racing board. the gt is an auto and he ran a guy with a modded civic that ran 14.2 and got beat by a solid car length. every once in awhile you may find a stallion out of the ford bunch but most of them are just little pony's!!!!!!

Re: 96 Z28 vs. 99 Mustang GT

when my lt1 was stock (A4), i raced two 5 speed GTs and beat both of them. I had the low end, i would lose out on the 2nd to third gear shift, but after 90mph, the race was all mine.

Re: 96 Z28 vs. 99 Mustang GT

My buddy has a 02 GT mustang. Low miles, full exhaust, otherwise a stock auto car...My 94 Z28 (completely stock at the time) with bad ignition wires bald tires and he ran the red light (trying to get every little bit he could). Since he had the 2 second advantage i caught him, passed him, and his *** by car lengths by the time i had to lock em up for the next light. He is a decent driver too, but likes to cheat! There is your answer! If my slow A4 LT-1 can do it, yours can rhomp your buddys!!! Just dont mess up on shifting TOO bad and you will be fine! Oh yeah...the biggest thing...HAVE FUN!

The worst part...we did this past a cop...the cop pulled him over cause he ran the red light, but didnt care that i rang it out to about 115! Make sure you win so the cop gives the blue oval the ticket
