97 LT1 in a 93

Re: 97 LT1 in a 93
An LT1 is an LT1. It's the stuff on the outside (save for early/late cams) that makes the difference. Just the longblock with the opti and everything but manifolds would drop right in save for just a couple of things. THe 93 IAC is a screw in type with a square four pin connector while the 94+ IAC is a bolt in and uses a flat 4 pin connector. The crankshaft position sensor on the 97 motor's timing cover would remain disconnected as there's no provision in the 93 harness for that. If it came with the vented opti, great, just use the vented opti harness and you're good to go. Other than those two things, the motor should just drop right in and the 93 manifolds would bolt right up to the heads.
