97 lt1 head ans cam swap
I was thinking of doing a head and cam upgrade I have a stock 97 z28 with some bolt ons. was going to upgrade rear gear to 3.73 and was lookin at the trick flow set up on summit(heads/cam rollers) the cam seems to be the same as the gm hot cam. any body use this set up or is there a better option for around the same price. The car is hopefully going to be a street/strip so don't want anything to crazy.

Have your stock LT1 heads ported by a shop with a proven track record, and let them supply a matching cam, based on your specific plans for using the car, and your budget.

I'm with Injuneer on this one. Call and speak with each of the companies he listed and see which one fits your power and budget needs. Lloyd Elliott has worked well for me. I know many people who have had good luck with each of those companies. However I don't see many folks using TEA for cam selection.
Harland Sharp is a good budget rocker, made in Ohio, long time performance company, and lifetime warranty. I've always had good luck with Comp rockers. I've used Pro Mag, Stainless Pro Mag, and Ultra Pro Mag with zero problems. Stay away from anything "too good to be true" price wise. Most of that stuff in junk chinese stuff.
