abs inop light

i just put custom sheet aluminum valve covers on my car and now under hard acceleration my abs inop light comes on. i am running the ltcc and the coils are on the valve covers. i was running lt4 valve covers with the coils mounted on those and this was never a problem. is it something to do with the aluminum valve covers or whats the deal.

For 96-blklt1:
The ABS light on all the time is a hard failure and is not from the wheel sensors. When ever the ABS inop light comes on AND cruise doesn't work, suspect the third brake light. GM does not allow cruise or ABS without a working third brake light.

Wheel sensors set a code only after the car starts to roll. That's a soft failure. Each time the power is turned off, the ABS inop light goes off until the car rolls again.

For Lil ryan:
However, one other major reason (at least on this board) that the light sets is plug wires running too close to the ABS wiring. This appears to interfere or cause noise on the wiring from the ABS to the EBCM. My EBCM was defective causing the problem. After eliminating all other possibilities, got one at a JY for $25. I think dealer cost at the time was 170. The JY guy didn't know what it was.

Too funny, I did a small burnout for a friend today, and my light came on ... until I shut off the car, and restarted it. It has stayed off since ---
