AC „OFF“ light flasches????

my AC "OFF" light flashes for about 1 minute or so and then stops. My AC works fine, but why does it flash; can it be that there is not enough R12 fluid in the system?????

What year and what make LT1? What AC "OFF" light flashes? You mean the "off" position indicator for the heating and A/C control dial?

The AC system uses R134a.

Re: AC „OFF“ light flasches????

Injuneer, thanks for the reply.
I have a 1992 LT1 Corvette, with R12 fluid not R134a.

The OFF button, is the button that turns off the A/C. If I would, after I start the engine, push the auto. button or any other, this button will also flash.

I guess you do know you are posting in a f-body forum and not a y-body (plus being an engine tech forum)? We don't have auto climate control. You may need to seek advice from a Corvette forum, where people are more familiar with the car. There might even be something in your owner's manual that describes that behavior.

Re: AC „OFF“ light flasches????

I know exactly where I am. I posted the same question in the Corvette Forum and received no answers. Looking into the manual was, logically the first thing I did!!!
The reason for posting it here is, that there are more people reading and posting in this forum; and I’ve been a member for quite a while.

I hate to state the obvious.... but why the he!! didn't you include that very basic info with your initial post. No better way to pi$$ people off, than wasting their time asking a question, and then throwing in the required info in a later post.

Good luck.

Just trying to help. Not too many people here will be familiar with those controls.
