Accel 58mm TB
Hello all!
I have a question regarding my Throttle Body and what parts I need to purchase...
Before I go into it, the car is a 1995 Camaro Z28 with the Lingenfelter 383 motor..
I am having an issue, where the idle will jump up and stay once the car warms up (Scanmaster shows the temp around 180 degrees when it happens). On the scanmaster the TPS voltage shows around 1.2-1.3, this is with me not even touching the pedal...adjusting the TPS sensor does nothing, when I blip the gas it acts normal as TPS voltage goes up, but when I let off the gas it goes back to the high idle and the TPS voltage still stays high..
Weird thing is, when I start the motor cold..TPS voltage shows totally fine (.60), the TPS voltage only shoots up once the motor warms up..
I want to try and replace the TPS sensor, however the throttle body that has been installed is a 58MM accel unit, for TPI motors..
The TPS sensor looks completely different than what came off my stock throttle body, I had a couple of questions regarding this...
1) Do I just need a TPS sensor for a TPI motor? The TPS sensor that has come off this TB has a lever that determines throttle position, it also has a 3 wire setup..different than my old TPS sensor..
2) If I wanted to replace my IAC, would I need to replace this with the TPI or LT1 version?
Any help would be appreciated, especially Lingenfelter owners with 58MM Accel TB's...
Thanks!

get a tps off any tuned port car (87 iroc 350 for example). I had to grind down the tps sensor I got from autozone a little to get it to fit without binding btw. It only took a couple minutes to do with a dremel.
get a iat sensor off an lt1 car since you use the stock iat housing off your car with that throttle body.
Hope that helps.
