AFR 195's performance.

Like I said, I'll see how I do on the dyno, then make a decision about the cam. If I can hit 400 or more rwhp, I'll be happy. I plan on pulling the motor this winter and going stroker (396 or 408) from AP Engineering. I just want to have fun driving this thing for the rest of the summer.

Your flow under the curve (where the valve is most of the time) is very respectable, You'll make really nice power with about any cam, a custom cam will put you well into your mark (and probably beyond)
My AFR heads floweed really simular to yours , but my exhaust was floweed with a pipe and the difference was there numbers wise. I used an off the shelf cam and I run 91 mph in the 1/8 and 115-116 through the 1/4 in a 3750 # loaded WS6 with an auto and loose converter and less compression than you are running.

If it makes you feel any better, those are very respectable numbers for a measured 203cc intake runner. If you have researched porting and flowbench work then you would see that it takes a significant amount of high quality porting to get 300 cfm on anything less than 210cc's in a 23 degree std runner port. Your heads are more than good enough to meet your goal of 400 rwhp but it is up to the rest of the system to follow suit.

A few years ago we built an engine for the NMCA Factory Street class using the LT4 heads (converted to std water flow) and as I recall the heads flowed about 310cfm using 2.080 valves. The 395cid engine ended up making 635hp.

So it can be done, at least. A 630hp 396 is a pretty respectable motor. That's about what I would like when I'm done. Out of curiousity, could I expect a substantial torque loss on a 350 with 2.08 valves? Would I even notice?
