Aftermarket BBK throttle body smoke test
I was wondering if anyone else has seen a throttle body that is not airtight or am I over reacting to this. Fighting lean issues not all the time some at idle some at wot so I bought me a nice smoke machine and hooked up right after mass air to test intake and vacuum leaks and oh my god I couldn’t test anything because the throttle body is leaking out of every port or side or sensor on it
I’ll post a video tonight when I get home

Do you have a way to scan or data log the PCM? Vacuum leaks typically cause the long term fuel trims (LTFT) to add extra fuel to compensate for the lean condition. Anything above adding 5% extra fuel generally indicates a problem. Vacuum leaks will also elevate the MAP sensor readings at idle

Here's a guide to scanning. Scroll down to “Air Fuel Management Measurements”.
