Aftermarket coil on H/C car

I know the stock coil is sufficient for stock and lightly modified cars, but is it enough for a heads/cam combo? Has anyone done heads and cam with the stock ignition, switched to an aftermarket ignition and noticed a difference? I'm running the stock coil on my car (heads, cam, headers, etc.) and it runs pretty well, but I'm always looking for more.

Any experience here?

I would just wait til your stock coil went out. Then I would recommend going with a MSD or Accel Igntion Coil. You will not see any performance gain by going to an aftermarket coil.
