air injector pump went out
aight guys, so after about 3 minutes of driving, my engine light goes on, every time. and my acceleration doesnt work as well as it has be4. so i didnt know what was wrong, so i paid some damn autoshop 100 bucks to have a full engine diagnostic test. turns out the fuse and the wiring blew out on my air injector pump, and "this fell under recall", so they said the dealer SHOULD take care of it for free, (since its their fault) for putting in a 20 amp fuse insead of a 25 amp fuse, and the wiring was the wrong size. so i had "an appointment" with the dealership today, and i went in, and they said.... sorry, your Z28 is a 1994, and although this happens for the 93-97 models, we only cover the 95-97. and they would charge me about $285 to do the job, so i said **** that, and walkd out. the fuse, i have no problem changin myself, but.... do u guys have any idea how to do that wiring on it? the shop where i got it diagnosed, said "its a .8 mm size wire, and needs to replaced with a 1 mm. somethin like that, and id REALLY like to do this job myself instead of givin them my paycheck. thanks guyz!

The fuse blows because the AIR pump rusts up, pulls too much current and the fuse pops. Easy fix on a 93-95 = unplug the AIR pump harness connector, then replace the fuse = no code, as long as the fuse is good.
If you feel you have to have the pump functional, find a used one on the "parts for sale" or "parts wanted" forums.
The dealer should have known the recall only applied to 95-97 models. The 94's did not have the same problem with the wiring. Pulling the connector off the pump, then replacing the fuse will verify the wiring is OK, as long as the fuse doesn't blow without the pump connected.

ok, im embarrassed to ask, but the fuse im changin is the one in the fuse box under the hood, yea? i seen the fuse for the air pump under there, and it is blown, but when u said.... "unplug the AIR pump harness connector", where is that? lol
