Air pumped fix, now wtf is this...
I discovered my air pump fuse had blown and replaced it. My understand of the air pump is it is used when the car is cold to warm up the manifold. Now that it's fixed, the car has changed and i wanna make sure it's normal.
First change, it runs hotter (210-250) at idle instead of 160-180 like it used to. The oil pressure is alot higher also (40-50 @ idle) instead of the usuall 20-30 @ idle. Once it's been running for a while the oil goes to normal and the temp usually goes back down to 180 when cruising but back up to 230ish when I start idling. Is this normal?
I'm thinking of throwing a new thermo in there (160) and seeing if it's a bad thermo but just thought i'd check on here...

Your temps really don't sound abnormal. Because of the SES you had for the pump, the fans were on, too. That was keeping your temps lower than normal. Maybe you had just not noticed it before, but it is normal for oil pressure to be higher when the engine is cool.
