Alternatives to CLoyes True Roller.

How about the Rollmaster? Supposed to be pretty decent from what I've read. No experience them, just Cloyes (no probs, btw).

the cloyes is one of the biggest PITA to have. Not to install, just to cater everything else around i.e. electric water pump, removing water pump driveshaft, modding timing cover and water pump housing for electric pump, crank hub fitiment probs, etc.. I say pick any other alternative to cloyes.

There are about a zillion SBC timing sets available. Obviously, with any gen I set you will need to lose the water pump and install an electric pump and clearance the cover. What you should buy depends on what your combo is like. Do you need an adjustable timing set, what kind of cam do you plan to run, high rpm, etc.?

I told you about the Rollmaster timing chain, but you didnt listen. Check out my reply in your odd noise thread. The chain works great, and alot better piece than the crap Cloyes.
BTW, the one that Combination motorsports sells is the Cloyes main cam gear, with a hardened crank gear So it really isnt much better than the normal Cloyes.
If you want more info about the Rollmaster timing chain setup, PM me and I can show you what needed to be clearanced on the timing cover (pics).
Check out this thread if you wanna see a few pics of the timing chain from Rollmaster
