Alternator/Battery Problem
My car had been running fine for a day after my header swap, but when i started it up the iother day, It died going down the driveway becuase my battery was dead. I charged it up and it was good for another few miles, but now it is dead again. When i was taking off my alternator to do the headers, i broke the metal bar thing that goes into the alternator, and then has a wire coming out of it going to the terminal. So, when i put it back together, i just screwed the thing back into the hole that was left by the metal piece (the piece is still in my alternator). What should i do to fix this? Can i just buy a new wire, or do i need a whole new alternator. I know this is probably confusing but try to work with me haha.

Not sure what you are talking about (maybe a picture would work) but if you broke something inside the Alt that connects to the part that you screw the wire onto then i think you are going to need a new one unless you take it apart and solder it back.
Go grab one from a junk yard

Take it to az or advance auto and they can test the alternator. The post you are talking about I think is the charging terminal or post and this has the red wire with the loop ring on the end with a rubber boot that goes over the terminal when screwed down. By breaking this terminal you could have shorted the alternator, but the guys at the autoparts store can test it and let you know. Getting a new one or rebuilt one with a warranty is not that expensive.
