Alternator plug/pigtail

is this the one that I need?
http://www.napaonline.com/masterpage...ical+Connector

I snapped the single red wire going to the plug when i pulled my alternator the other day. This one shows more than one wire though? Went to the GM dealer and they wanted $66 for a wiring harness thing (guy was an idiot)

go to a junkyard, cut on off, and solder the wires together with heat shrink, probably cost 10 bucks.

PS, that doesnt look like the plug

nope thats not it.

i think its going to be a bwd (borg warner) part number pt200 which will be the part number for O'Reilly's. any other company should be able to cross reference it over to their brand.

i'll check for you at work tomorrow

That connector does look correct to me. It's not exactly like the stocker (it has a right angle boot), but the face of it is the same.

i agree the front looks the same, but if there are three wires coming out, how do i know which one to solder? and what do i do with the other two?

Look at the pic from my site. Only one wire is used and you can see which one it is. Replacement pigtails are often going to have more wires, because they fit numerous models that use them. Just use what you need and snip off the others.
