Had I known about the Cantons I would have got them.
My mechanic got the Jegs covers and it was faster to do what we did notching them.
My car has been sitting the last 2 years first getting a new paint job with gold 30th anniversary SS stripes on dark green.
Now there's a fresh 383 that we had some problems with.
2 pushrods pushed through the stock original rockers
but in the meantime the opti took a dump and the ECM got replaced because it wasn't reading codes properly.
So then it was the roller rockers tall covers etc.
Now it's running good ready for the dyno next week.
Thanks for the help.

I was running +.100" valves
The >.600" lift, 23x/24x cam + the longer valves and Dart Head
castings forced me to convert to to taller studs (rocker nuts barely had
three threads on the stock height ones). That caused most of my problems.
Also, I had trouble with the rubber gaskets not sealing properly.
I run a modified SBC perimeter cork gasket instead.
However, I have seen several people running 230/236ish cams with stock
studs and ported stock heads who also had to clearance. The photos I
saw indicated that the contact is minimal, but certainly enough to place
resistance on Cyl 2's rocker.
