Antenna question

Anyone have an alternate location to where you have mounted an aftermarket antenna?

I've heard of guys putting it under the windshield wiper cowl. I grabbed a Grand Am antenna from a junkyard and curved it around inside the rear quarter where the spare was. Then cut my factory one off.

So yours no longer exits out of the right quarter? How is the reception?
My car is getting painted and I was thinking of having them patch of the whole and find somewhere else to put the antenna.

I cut about a foot off my stock antenna and it did not affect my reception.

I had mine completely removed, but never listen to the radio... Come to think of it, the shop kept my antenna... bastards.

You could try to get one embedded into your window, like new cars!

my 1970 rs camaro has the antenna embedded in the window... anybody know any other old *** cars with the antenna in a weird spot? by the way the car looks so much cleaner without a big ugly antenna sticking out the front or rear...

They sell tiny antennas that are a cheap easy way to replace the long stock antenna.

It's not too hard to install a power antenna yourself, especially if you have the monsoon. That's what I did.
