antifreeze over flowing? not overheating

my car was running with the temp on the first quarter like normal all day. then it went between there and half but never all the way on half between highway and street driving which i thought was normal. I parked in my driveway and when i came back out to my car the overflow had leaked all over my driveway i looked under the car and it wasnt dripping anywhere else. and ideas? i havent added any antifreeze for awhile so i dont have a clue

99% sure its a bad radiator cap. if it can't hold the 18lbs of pressure of the coolant system it will let coolant into the resevoir...spilling it over.

had it happen to my 96 and i've known several guys who have had the same problem.

when you replace it, make sure it is the proper cap...18lbs is more than most systems i think.

I continue to have the same problem with my car. Radiator cap didn't fix it. If my temp ever goes over 200, i can expect a collant dump. I think i more than likely have a blown head gasket...

Make sure the system is well bled, there might be air in your system.
