What about something with a very narrow power band? Say if someone was running 4.10, 3600 stall, and 150 shot. Not wanting to go above 6200.

That would make for a larger cam then, it all depends on what you want. It's not hard to make something that fits.

This is some damn useful information, I have read about the Hotcam not having much improvement in the low end. Have an overlay pic of both graphs?

Makes you think about the XE502 and XE503 camshafts and how their lobes might help out in the low end TQ department.

I have an overlay I made myself to compare the two; I'll have to dig for it and see if I got it later....

Why did Bret get banned in the first place?

Mostly marketing his products while not being a paying advertiser. Others will say he was abrasive.

He has been banned over on tech too. Guess he does not learn very quickly.

That would be great. I was all about getting a cheap Hotcam for this car, but I would really like to see some low end improvement from it. We'll see how that graph looks.

I'm going to try and track the modifications on my beater car like you did. With dyno graphs after certain mods.

I nearly got banned here for arguing with him. I did point out in a thread that he poked holes in everyone's cam discussions and theories, but his advice was only to use his camshaft service without offering any real technical input to the discussion.

I've looked all over and can't find my overlay. At any rate, I did find my last dyno. This was on a Mustang-style dyno. You can also see what the actual hp number was compared to the corrected #; this is what 7,000 DA does to an NA motor.
