Sorry, don't mean to high jack your post...but while we are at it...does anybody know of a good transmission shop on LI as well?? Oh, and as far as engine shops...everybody seems to go to SK Speed around here. I am not too sure of how good their work is, but they are a pretty reputable shop. A friend of mine's father works at Pampena Motor Sports, which is in Ronkonkoma.

Pampena does a lot of 3000GT's...my friend owns the red one that is shown being dynoed on the website. I went to check out the shop about a month ago...and they had a 700hp '94 Z28 there that they were doing work on. I know one guy specializes in porting the heads for LS1's and LT1's...so if I were you I would go check them out.

Re: any engine builders on LI
Have a GREAT guy for you L.I people. I have been dealing with him for years, its Randy's performance in North Babylon off edison ave. He does all late model work on GN's f-body's etc... he did my LT1 w/ little head work and intake match with a hot cam and has me running 12.20's. Has done work for others on this thread as well, couple 383 lt1 jobs... if you want his # and directions email me, i can always call him for ya and give him a heads up. Thanks Bobby bski224@aol.com

Re: any engine builders on LI
I have a shop building my LT1 right now, but they don't do removal and install. The name of the place is JAPerformance. Their located in Lynbrook. The guy James who owns the place is awsome and an engine builder with tons of drag racing knowledge behind him. He started doing my motor last year, and mine was the first LT1 he was going to do, but since I hooked up with him he has completed 3 LT1's already. I'm kinda just taking my time, but mine should be done in a couple of weeks. Also he got Moroso to make a custom oil pan for my LT1 with a windage tray and baffle. Give him a ring at 516-881-3994. I can also back up FBperformance. A guy that worked at my job had a secretary that was dating one of the guys who works for him, so I got a good deal on the 700-R4 rebuild for my Blazer. I know this is gonna sound stupid but I tend to stay away from SKSpeed at all costs. If you do any money racing or street racing a lot of the guys there like to know what you have and what ur putting in your car and to me honestly it's none of their business. Whenever i need a part from there I make sure I bring them the part number because they always like to ask "What kinda car is this going in?" Just some suggestions. If you have any other questions e-mail me WuViper@aol.com
