im wanting to do heads/cam and exhaust soon.. but im way too lazy to do it myself... me and a friend did all mods to my 82 and it runs like crap and its slow(16 sec 1/4 gtech , guessing it needs a comp/injectors out of a 350 car instead of the 305 computer in it ).. so dont want this to happen to my 96 . so i wanna find a nice shop that will do it all.. heads/cam/headers/tune.. question is.. are there any in bay area? ill have lots of money to spend in a few months from a accident settlement...

There is the regional section here(western forum) that you can go to for these q's, also www.norcal-ls1.net will help you out greatly, good people that know all the spots to go to. I know that out in the bay area there is Black Magic racing. If you're willing to drive, down in Yuba city there's Force Fed Performance. I think they do excellent work and they have a great rep. I know a lot of people that go to Black Magic Racing to get stuff done on there cars. Everybody seems to be happy with there work. I went there for my header install. They did a pretty good job but they either didn't want to or forgot to do a couple of things. Like for instance they forgot my collector gaskets, didn't block off my egr correctly. But my other friends had no problems. I think its just they way things are when it comes to me and cars.

Agree about Black Magic Racing in Hayward. Wish there was a good place in San Jose, Fremont and Hayward is quite a drive...especially for you down in Morgan Hill.

This is my opinion only, and folks may disagree...but I don't recommended Speed Merchant. Yeah, it's probably the biggest and most well known shop in the Bay, but their quotes are out of whack. 2 hours for a Catback...10...yeah, I said 10 hours for SLP headers...crack smokers.

Not only are quotes bad...inconsistent. Called them one day, they said 6 hours to install their JBA headers...asked what about SLP...they said 8 hours. Huh? Why so different? Went to their store to check them out in person, dude quoted me 10 hours for headers. Have never gone back.

Call Rick at Synergy...prices are reasonable.
