Any idea what causes this??

I changed the oil and started the car and let it run for the first time in probably about 6 months. When the car first started, it was running all wacky and rough and the rpm's were doin so wierd stuff. It never died but just seemed kinda like the computer wasnt sure what to do. Then after it was running for a little while it just smoothed up and the idle stayed steady right at 1000rpm's. With the car having sat for so long, does the computer need to relearn everything and what not? The car never lost power and the battery was never disconnected. Sensors just dirty and needed to have the dust knocked off? Anyone have any ideas?
