I installed a Borla exhaust for my Friend with an 02 Z28 and there were no problems with fitment.

80TA, very interesting -- I am searching for cases of problems with Borla fitment, as I am having a problem myself. What have you heard?

NBS4, the problem I have seems to be with the Y-pipe (comes down just behind the axle and curves into the muffler and Y's off to the 3-bolt flange). I first hung it from the right hanger bolt, and when I slid the muffler into the Y-pipe outlet, it wants to rotate the Y-pipe and force the Y-pipe inlet to the right against the body. This contact is unacceptable. Even without hanging it from the hanger it doesn't seem right (in other words I don't think the Borla hanger bracket is the problem). My theory is the bent section of the Y-pipe needs to be swept through a larger angle (as it is it is less than a 90-degree bend). (And I have also been shipped two kits, and both seem to be the same.)

So, NBS4, you didn't have a problem like that? Thanks!

My biggest problem is the tips. The borla tips are the most annoying thing in the world, you can't ever get them to both sit at the same level and not have one crooked. I finally adjusted them how I wanted em and had them tack welded. Problem solved.
