any1 know much about loading a program onto ur pcm?
i got a cable and tuner cats, ..i treads diagnostics fine with teh free progs they sent, but will NOT upload program, it just sits on "establishing communications" the whole time..never advances have the ignition on key off...stumped

Before you try to upload a program, its good practice to download the program first. Not only is it good to keep an un-molested copy of your tune, you can't mess up your PCM by downloading. You can however, mess things up during a failed upload. Make sure the key is in the "run" position and you have the correct COM port selected in Tunercat, as well as the correct PCM definition file. Once you can download a file, you should be able to upload one.

key is in the on position, and i cant get it to establish communications at all, downloading or uploading, but it will read diagnostics.....

Try searching in the computer/diagnostics section and you might find some leads.
You could try the DOS version of the flash/read programs. Its safer IMO than windows b/c DOS is so simple and no other programs run at the same time. Tunercat will send them if you ask but you need a special boot disk with XP as it doesnt have DOS... just PM me if you need that. Hope that helps.
