Anybody modified GM 1.6 RR to accept over .575 lift??
Since there is only about 10k miles on them, I'll be re-using my 1.6 roller rockers that came in the HOTcam kit on my new motor. I have a little problem though- GM says their max lift is .575, and the cam I have is right around .600
The guys at the machine shop said that they could probably take some material off of the rocker body, as it is what's probably hitting where the stud comes up through and limits the lift. Just curious to know if anyone has done this before with some success or if I should start setting money aside for some new rockers (which I really don't want to do )

230/230 .600/.600 on a 112 LSA. It was done by Comp, so it has lobes similar to the XFI cams they are selling now. I honestly don't know what it will do. I was going to have Brett make a cam for me, but there was a mix up at the machine shop. They ordered a custom cam for someone, but got confused and told me they ordered it for me, when in reality I didn't have one on the way it was for someone else. Then they figured it out a couple of weeks later (when they were wondering why my cam wasn't there) and I just said "screw it, order me one"
