Anyone else broken an Oil Pressure Sending Unit??

This little things are really POS's for where they're mounted. You gotta be careful. I was poking around under the car, and let fly with my arm after the wrench slipped off my O2, and snap, there goes my second.

Why hasn't someone made a completely integral metal unit that won't snap off at the base. They're cheap and all at $30 a pop, but there's room for improvement.

I did the !Oil pressure mod when I had the tranny out The engine leans back and its up to the sending unit to hold it against the firewall. The don't hold lateral pressure that well. LOL

i broke mine when i took the y pipe out to gut the cat. then replaced it but but for some reason my oil pressure was never the same. then when tearing my engine apart for the rebuild i found the culprit of my low pressure problem........ my pick up was not attatched to my oil pump

:redneck: that there aint no kinda good :redneck:

but it will be fixed with the 383 so its all good

I busted mine as well when I removed the tranny.
Hard not to unless you remove it first.
