Anyone having or had problems with there starter

I went to start my car this morning and it just clicked it wouldn't turn over. This is my third starter in a year. What could be the problem or are the starters the same as the opti. Crap.

Mine started to act like a dead battery and would crank really slow so i got a new one. I think the extreme heat kills them.

Its a delco, The delearship replaced it. But i think they put on a remanufactured one. But i may have a different problem thats causing it to burn up maybe a short somewere. When i was trying to start it. I put the key to the on position and noticed that the spedo gage was moving up and down like the needle was up to 10 mph then went down this happen while not even starting the car.

First make sure your battery cables are in good shape and that there is no splices on them. That includes those quick fix battery terminals. Make sure you only have 2 wires going to the soleniod. 1 being the battery cable and the other small wire from the ignition switch. A common problem is that some people end up attaching the small ground wire that's near the starter onto the same terminal as the ignition switch wire. That ground wire gets mounted to the block.
