anyone help!

i was trying ta get my oil dip stick tube out and the **** BROKE. it broke off almost flush with the block part where it slips in, what should i do ta get it out? any help is needed, and apreciated. thx.

Take a long flathead screwdriver and hammer. Place it against the raised edge that stops it from going further into the block. And tap it out.

thanx for the help roc, but i decided ta go a diff. route after breaking off the heads of two screwdrivers, that was bullsh!t. so i used an easy out and spun that sob around till i could get a set of locking needle nose on it and tapped that sucker right out. gm sure did go over kill on the length that it goes in to the pan, SHEESH!!!

I think they did that to guide the stick by the windage tray and keep it away from the crank.

well cagle i guess if you are taking the dip stick tube out you must be putting those headers on. If you need any help call, i probably won't get dirty but i can supervise since i have one set of SLP's under my belt already.

i guess that would make since as to why it was so long. oh and mikey, your a pud. ya i might give ya a holler this weekend, i went ta daves and he suggested that i use some steel dounuts. we'll see what happens. and i figuerd since its easy ill change plugs wires and o2's. hopefully it'll all be ready by wedsday. hadta order a new tube.
