Anyone run the 230-236 cam

I'm thinking about swapping to this cam or a custom cam here soon. What powerband and trap mph can expect from the 230-236 on a bolt on 97Z28.

112 + 4 - i love the cam- good power range and still very drivable with the gears and some good tuning-

This should be better than 112 lsa, but it needs a good exhuast system.

damn that, the 110 needs an incredibly good valve train setup. the 112 is a bit tamer.

110 is close to 600

Re: Anyone run the 230-236 cam

LSA does not affect valve lift since the lobes are the same. Valve lift of these XE series lobes with 1.6 are 0.544 and 0.555.

I wasn't using the LSA to determine the valve lift, I was using it to distinctify the versions.

Now that I think about it I didn't know they made a 110

I was thinkign about the 113 version

the 113 version is the one that requires an agressive valve train, that's the one with the 600 lift

the 112 version is the version that's milder on the valvetrain

who sells the 110? and what are the specs on it?

Re: Anyone run the 230-236 cam

The lift specs for the 110 I am considering is nowhere near 600. It is actually the same as the normal version 112. I was going to have it ground on a 110 for a little more power.

I run that cam in my 94 Z car ground on a 110. I put down 342/334 through a th350 and Moser 12 bolt with stock unported heads. Race weight was 3640.

Smile Re: Anyone run the 230-236 cam

I'm running the Comp XE 230/236 cam ground on a 112 +4 LSA with 1.6 roller rockers yielding .544" Intake and .555" Exhaust lift, with mildly ported heads and my best ET/MPH to date is 12.21 at 115.42. See my sig for all my other supporting mods. It's a great cam for a stock displacement 350 LT1, but I really now wish I would have gone for the GM 847 cam.
