If exhaust is having to hit the flange of the header before it escapes, our system isn't as efficient as it could be.

Seems like if there is a "wall"(head,adaptor,ect) on the lower portion of the port and the header hangs down below the port that is suffecient. There only has to be 1/8" or so below the port,just something to prevent the pulse/wave from going back into the port.
There have been all kind of anti reversion shapes tried but the best I can gather that a flat(edge of head,adaptor,ect) does just as good.
These waves supposedly only travel on the bottom of the header tube.
