I've generally always thought the Lunati 60123 to be a stout cam for a larger cubic inch LT1 w/ 396, 402, 408 etc. Same for the xfi292. But who knows....I've never seen any LT1 with a Lunati voodoo series cam, so who knows?

Well, I was a little worried about my cubic inches too, but Lunati tech said it would be fine, he was more worried about my stall. It's a 3600, but it is a Vig and supposedly they're a little under rated. I will be running 11.5 to 1 compression though. Lunati's site says a 3-3500 stall, at least 3.73's, and 10.5 to 1 compression. So far I'm meeting the requirements + some in a couple areas. I'm aware that I may have some of a surge with the auto, but I'm not too worried about it. I just wasn't all that happy with my XE 230/236. Plus the Lunati is suppose to work well w/nitrous and I happen to have 150hp on tap.

If I were you I'd get the 60122. It will work better for the 355, IMO, and be closer to your stall range. I've always liked the Voodoo specs, but haven't had the chance to get my hands on one. I made 373rwhp on a custom XFI grind that had plenty more in it, but I went with a smaller custom cam for my new motor.

What valve springs are you going to use? Those are some pretty aggressive lobes.

They're a double spring that came on my AFR's. Part # 8019 on AFR's sight. I talked to AFR about it, and they said they would be fine, they were good for a .650 lift.

They will probably do fine. I know that the more aggressive lobes like the voodoo and xfi cams work better with beehive springs. They have less mass and are less likely to float at high RPM. No reason to change them, though, if you have quality springs. Just have to wait and see what the dyno says. Don't forget to post your results!

Well, I appreciate eveyone's input. I figure if it ends up being too much, I could always swap out for 1.5 rr's, but not much I can do but swap the cam if I don't go big enough. It's not a daily driver by all means, but definately a weekend warrior, but too many LS1's around here starting to heavily mod.
