Anyone with XE227/233 dyno graph?

I have the XE 227/233 coming and would like to see some
dyno graphs, stock heads only.

Cmotorsports says 350-360 rwhp with stock heads, that seems
alittle high. I have only seen graphs with ported heads and would really like to see some graphs with stock heads.

Thanks

I'm getting the same cam and I'm using my stock heads. I also would like to know what everybody is putting to the wheels.

I am putting 351hp/347tq to the wheels with the 227/233 cam and ported heads. My car still has some issues to work out, but I think when all is said and done I can get 375-380hp out of this combo. The 227/233 seems like a good cam and its sounds very nice. However, if I were doing it over I would go with a CC306 or a GM847 and try to break the 400rwph barrier. I hope to have some more solid numbers to post soon since I am in the process of installing a new opti, plug wires, coil and an electric water pump.

Or the XE 233/239 cam for the 400rwhp mark.

I'd also like to know. I plan on making a stock head cammed beast next year. Funds permitting.

Yeah, that seams a lot high to me too, even with every bolt on in the book and STD hp.

Why don't you just look at a 224/230 XE graph, then compare it to a 230/236 XE graph. You'll be right in the middle. Sorry if that sounds like i'm being a jerk, but you'll be surprised how similarly the 224 and 230 perform on stock heads and there is no reason to expect the 227 to be any different.

This grind has not been available long, that is why you aren't getting many responses with stock head dyno graphs. You're a pioneer of sorts, except for your explorering the details withIN already charted territory.

I could copy Whontimes post as he says exactly what my experiences have been with this cam. I put down right at 350 SAE using this cam, ported heads through a Moser 12 bolt. To be fair I was running rich in the 11.8:1 range throughout the run. A little more tuning I would say that 360 maybe 365 is possible. It's also possible that my heads are just flowing to their max. I guess I'll see here in a couple of weeks.

I too wish I would have went with the GM847 and in fact I am. It's on order along with springs etc and will go on next week. To be fair I think you would have to say that I'll be revving the engine higher with the GM847, higher than what I told Seth I would be doing when he recommended the 233/237 to me. The cam did exactly what he said it would. He based his recommendations on what I told him at the time. My advice, think carefully about exactly what you want before you order a cam.

BTW CMotorsports are great people to do business with. Customer Service is excellent. I hope they keep this up and don't go the way of NU-TEK, ARE and some others.

I would be interested in knowing . . . has anyone hit 400rwhp with a 230/236? If so, any dyno graphs?

Re: Anyone with XE227/233 dyno graph?

I just had my car dyno'd with the XE 224/230 on stock heads and made 341.3 rwhp and 355.5 rwtq. I had a pcmforless tune and still gained 10rwhp more by having it on a dyno!

I'd be very surprised to see that cam hit 350 RWHP on stock heads without pulling out every trick in the book...much less 360. There are cams that will do it though.

Just so there's no confusion, my post wasn't directed at your cam (although the same applies) but the original question on the XE227/233.

You made nice numbers with the 224/230. I'd like to see the dyno sheet if you have it posted anywhere.

Re: Anyone with XE227/233 dyno graph?

I go Tuesday for the dyno tune. I will post the results if anybody wants to see. If I get 340 rwhp I will be like a retard at Chuck E Cheese.
