Here's a TTT bump for ya. It makes me very angry when someone takes what is not rightfully theirs. I feel for you.

Since the check cleared a month ago i dont think you can put a stop payment on it but I am sure there are ways to put a crunch on these people one way or another , I think the law should be able to help somehow

I get anxious about a $60.00 order if it does not get to me in a week or so . I can only imagine how you must feel

Best of luck man...

With the large amount of money involved, the local authorities should be willing to get involved since it is most likely a felony.

Ok. Here's the deal:

No cops. No lawyers. No Better Bus.Bureau, etc.

Those who believe that you are going to get any help in those areas, don't have much experience in the "real world".

Sometimes you just get screwed and that's what it takes some times to learn to be more careful when you pay for something before you see the goods.

Unfortunately, we all do it because you can usually trust reputable companies.

Having said that, I believe that you will get your order soon. I do however caution you to make sure you get everything you paid for in the deal.

If you find some missing items or discrepancies between what you agreed to buy and what you get, then I would certainly pursue further communications with the vendor until you are completely satisfied with the results.

You can slam them on the net where ever it will hurt them if things don't work out, but try to do it the tactful way first, since pi$$ing them off too much may queer the deal.

Let us know as soon as the ship comes in.JMHO

Called them. Lady said that the short block was "not" ordered through the company. That it was just something the guy had that he wanted to sell.

Said that the shipping info was sent or was going to be sent shortly and that the engine should be there in about 3 days.
(its still sitting there in the crate).

I asked if he as the buyer was going to get everything that was agreed to and she said "yes".

Now all we can do is wait and see.

But bottom line, I wouldn't be too harsh on the company itself, if they weren't even in the loop.

If in fact, you do get screwed on the product, I'd
get in touch with the owner's of AMS and tell them your story.JMHO

Therein lies the problem. I have been to AMS with freinds of mine, I refuse to take any business to them. Whenever calls would come in Keiths's wife, who doubles as the secretary, Would ask who was calling. If it was someone she knew Keith didn't want to talk to, or he said he didn't want to when she asked, she made up an excuse. Good luck dude, I would offer my assistance, But I am going to be out of state for 2 weeks starting Friday.

Fellas please do not call AMS and rip on them. I know i've been part of a shaddy deal, but i'm sure they will come through. I don't need them to think I'm trying to cause any problems for them. Thats not what I'm about.

UPDATE: its 1:07 PM CST. I still have no word from them.

Jesse

Check you www.ls1tech.com in the GP section. They responded there yesterday.

Call the local authorities there and speak to a DETECTIVE. Not the desk jockey.

Do this when you fly down to Texas and are in town.

I'm guessing this will work because a guy here in town took cops to a dealership because he paid for traction control and the vehicle didn't have it.

The dealership coughed up the $140 out of their own pocket!! Not GM's pocket!!

And those who believe this are too willing to lay down and die. My aunt is Assistant Attorney General for Kansas and I have spoken to her at length about this type of subject many times. This is very resolvable. Even if the buyer doesn't get his money back he does have legal recourse to prosecute. Anybody who's read the infamous Turbo Buick thread will know this.
