ARP Intake bolts part number?????

I bought a set of standard SBC bolts from ARP and they are to short. I have searched ARP's site, and dont see any differences stated. Does anyone have a set that actually work and are long enough? If so can you get me a link or a part number???

Re: ARP Intake bolts part number?????

I JUST bought a set of arp 434 2101 intake bolts, cuz someone on here said he used them. They have 1 inch of thread, so you sayin these are too short and i should'nt use them??? Which ones you got? No wonder they were only 13$.....If they were Lt1 bolts, they'd be 50$

I used the standard SBC intake bolts with OEM intake gaskets and they worked - although I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

ARP sells "bulk" bolts in packs of 5 bolts and washers in the size and length you need. Summit carries them, just put "arp-" in front of the bolt part number.

Re: ARP Intake bolts part number?????

The standard SBC bolts are really too short - I wouldn't use them again. They only have a couple of threads engaged; it would be pretty easy to pull the threads out of the head. Order the same diameter and thread, but 3/4" longer from the ARP bulk bolts. 1/2" longer would probably be fine too.

Re: ARP Intake bolts part number?????

I used the SBC set as well, and they wanted to strip the heads. They didnt get enough thread to hold down well, and i developed a intake leak. There has to be a longer bolt they make that will work.

Re: ARP Intake bolts part number?????

Just wondering why the stock bolts arent good enough? How much strength do intake bolts really need?
