ASM Monoblade

I would like to know if anyone installed this throttle body on a NA motor.
Are there any issues with wandering idle?
What happened to your Idle Air Counts (IAC) after removing the little hump inside of the intake?
What's your IAC while in idle?
thanks DC

I can't give you specifics but I sold my monoblade to a buddy of mine that kept bugging me wanting to buy it

He modified his intake to look like this...

He put this on a mostly stock A4 95Z28 (cat-back and CAI only). He has no idle issues and no other problems. I don't know his IAC numbers but his car runs and idles fine

Did your friend find that there was a difference when doing this. Performance? I have a 93 and want to know if it is worth doing this?

No dyno runs were done before and after. There is an obvious difference in throttle response but actual performance increase... no hard data for ya.

ken, nice pic's
I should be getting mine in a few days.
I'm just worried about the IAC counts wandering all over the place. I remember from reading my datamaster logs that the IAC would jump up every time I turn on the A/C, so I'm wondering how would the monoblade make this adjustment when we remove the hump from the intake?

I have a 383 stroker with a 52mm TB. Over 400rwhp now. How much of a difference would I see going to a monoblade over a 52mm?

Does throttle reponse decrease dramatically? Major difference over a 58mm?

How 'bout any evidence of split BLMs?

Yeah, I know I didn't want to sell it because it looked so good but he's a good friend and he wanted it BAD and I just had it sitting on the shelf "waiting" so I was like... what the heck... at least somebody will be getting some use out of it.

Re: ASM Monoblade

Brent94Z
did you get to log your friends car that has the monoblade installed?
I'm curious to see if the Idle wanders and how does the IAC react.
thanks DC
