A benchracer's favorite three conjunctions.... should've, could've and would've.

Just put the numbers down Marcin.

There is a picture of my car at www.thunderracing.com , customer cars, my name is Frank Benoit. If you added a 12bolt and sticky tires you would most likely run 12.20's at about 113. The reason that you're running a big mph is because you have no rolling resistance. Most people run at least 1.5 mph faster on radials. At my race weight you could maybe run high 11's. There is no problem with you sticking to what you do well and me doing the same. I bet if you experienced a 1.49 60ft. in your car you would never run from a roll again.

Frank,

If you don't mind me asking... what kind of traction modifications have you made? What suspension setup?

Thanks,

My car has a basic stock suspension with front and rear swaybars removed and a airbag in the right rear. Skinnies on the front and weight removal for track is no jack, spare, rear bumper support, rear seats, passenger seat,a/c delete and hundred little things But I do have a 100# rollbar and heavy 12bolt. Friday before last I ran 4 -1.49's I give the fact that my car makes good lowend power and the Vig3200 credit for the launch. Frank95z

Thanks for the information Frank.
Just looks like your typical traction modifications. I'm hoping I can cut 1.5 sec 60' times when I get my rig back together. Of course this thing's going to need some tuning but we'll get there.
Thanks again!

Mindgame these cars do not need a lot of suspension work. Just a good conveter and decent bottomend power. 1.50's shouldn't be a problem. A friend of mind had a LT1 stocker and with a stock suspension except, he moved the torque arm end off of the transmission he ran a 1.39 shortime. That was with stock shocks and every other part in place. Frank95z

Steve Geoff said he changed from a 210/224 like I have to a 306 on one of his customer cars and picked up 30hp. How would that work in my car. And like Steve said I just do neutral drops, if you want a good 60ft. foot to the floor in neutral, then pull it down into D ,and hang on. Frank95z
