My car has done the same thing on two different occasions.

The first time, is was a spun bearing. I drove it home after it happened and did alot more damage.
The second time was when I replaced the broke motor with a savaged motor. Spun a bearing after a year. Lost oil pressure, light knock.

Sounds like it's time for a rebuild.

It will be a 90%ish stock rebuild in this case, I know you should do what you want to the first time, but when the moneys not there (or rather I need a car to drive) you cant do it.

Well, just to give you guys the update, Started the car today and discoverd the knocking was coming from the bottom end, opposed to the top end, which I believe started knocking as a result of a spun bearing in the bottom end and not getting oil. Im not driving the car no more as I said, I am looking into VRE for a new 383 stroker short block. While the engine is down, ill still be around though. Saving money now for the new shortblock.
