Best brand RR's? Trickflow any good?

Im interested in purchasing a set of 1.6 Roller Rockers for my next semi-big mod, what brand should I go with? Also, what else needs to be purchased/comes with the package? Do I have to purchase hardened pushrods? Is it just highly suggested that I do so?

If you dont want to have to do the little mod of bending the inner brace on the valve covers, go with crane self aligning golds. If you dont mind the little mod, go with the Comp Cams pro mag self aligning, and just bend the little support in the covers. If you plan on going with a cam later down the road, you might want to look into non-self aligning, and guide plates and hardened pushrods. Be aware though, using 1.6 ratio rockers on stock springs are very close to coil bind. Some reccomend changing the springs out when you do it, but that is your choice

The most highly recommended by all the cam guru's is the comp cams pro-magnums. The non-self agligning (NSA) ones would be the best choice because they are more stable, but then of course you'll have to buy new rockers studs and guide plates. GM guideplates or Isky adjustables are about the only choices for guideplates for LT1. Regular small block guide plates wont line the rockers up correctly. Might as well go with the 7/16 stud versions of the rockers if you're gonna go through all that trouble to stiffen up the valvetrain just a little more.

So to re-cap...

-Comp cam pro-mags, 7/16 stud, 1.6 ratio (part# 1305-16)
-GM guide plates
-ARP 7/16 rockers studs

This is not the cheapest, but certainly one of the best ways to go with a 1.6 rocker install.

Your 1994 originally came with hardened pushrods. Change your valve springs to avoid coil bind; the LT4 springs will work fine with your stock cam or a hot cam kit in the future.

Go with the Jesel SS series, thats what Im running. By the time you buy the rockers, studs, guideplates, and a girdle, you are just about at the price of these shaftmounts. They are WAY more stable than any pedestal mount rocker, and you have a lot less crap to try to stuff under the valve covers.
