Best opti for Hi rpm

What is the best opti for hi rpm
I have only run the GM units before
I want to know if anyone makes one with a better bearing or bushing. I like to keep a spare and my last GM worked fine but the bearing is worn and has lots of play in it

I will not be using the optical sensor BTW, just the distributor pick-up comes from crank trigger

check out the msd pro billit, and the dynaspark units. the msd unit has a bearing that can handle about 10,000 rpm, and i think the dynaspark can handle like 13,000 rpm. think those will work for ya. there is a whole bunch more info on the web sights.

Since you're running an aftermarket ECU, why are you sticking with the Opti for the high voltage section?

The dynaspark currently claims to be good to 6800.

DIS is the way to go if you're not using the low voltage feedback side of the opti. Why do you think all the new cars have no distributor?

I burnt up 6 stockers with 7k passes. Stuck a MSD on and so far so good. Only draw back is I had to adjust it out of the box. Now if you tear into the MSD and look at it and you could see it was built with a little extra love for us high spinners.

Then why not run the complete Opti? What aftermarket ECU are you using? The FAST and the MoTeC can run off the Opti low/high resolution pulse signals, and they are able to keep the sequential injection.

I thought Rick Abares was running an Opti and pushing well into the mid 7,000's????

DFI gen 7
I can use the complete opti but I want the crank trigger on a slide so I can change timing in the staging lanes, don't care about sec. injection, This is a race car I'm going to run a MSD flying magnet with a custom fabbed mount for the pick-up that is slotted

Is ther a way to replace the bearing in s tock opti? I have a few, I just don't know where to find the brg. at. who would sell it?

Is the msd a different casting? I have seen a few aftermarket one that look like the same casting as a GM
