I'm going to be running NGK-TR6 When I'm done refreshing my motor.
I like the colder range benefit, of less chance for detonation...and for my engine, every little thing helps.

Is the Extreme 9000 Heat reflective Ignition Wires by ACCEL.

ARe these good. I just burnt one of my taylors, real bad.
How about the Spectre braided plug wire insulation or plug wire protection self vulcaniz tape. ARe these any good to help the heat. This is cheaper than goivg over the valve covers.

I used the cheap spectre stuff. I didn't feel like pulling the wires off the opti to slip it on so i cut it to length and split it down the side. I fastened it with strips of aluminum foil tape, and then put another layer of spectre over the seam in the opposite direction. Then i put one wrap of Al foil tape around the whole shebang. Worked out really well. The key to using foil tape is that it won't stick to the spectre or anything not extremely smooth, but it sticks great to itself.

I layed an old plug wire with 1 layer of spectre on it on my moms minivan manifold and let it there for 15 minutes idleing. I'm sure my headers get a lil hotter, but still it passed the test for me.
